What is the difference between digital and offset printing?

With digital printing we send your files directly to our professional digital printers. Digital printing offers many possibilities and flexibility. The start-up costs for digital printing are lower than for offset printing. As a result, digital printing is already interesting from one copy.

With offset printing we print your files on traditional printing presses. In this way of printing, we are less flexible in implementing adjustments and the start-up costs are higher. As a result, offset printing can be interesting at high print runs.

There used to be a large quality difference between offset and digital printing matter. The digital printers at Gildeprint, however, enable us to print at the highest quality level with the advantages – especially in time and required investment – of digital printing. The high print quality is therefore virtually indistinguishable from offset printing.
